'A Call to Worship' Bible Study

Looking together at the various elements of our regular worship

Worship Bible StudyChristian worship is not simply a habit we’ve inherited or a weekly event on the church calendar. It is a response to who God is and what he has done.

From the earliest gatherings of God’s people to the life of the New Testament church, and its growth throughout the world, worship has been a major part of the spiritual life of believers - called together by God, shaped by his Word, and sent out in his name.

We also gather because worship focuses our lives. In a world of competing voices and loyalties, worship places God back at the centre. Through Scripture, prayer, song, and sacrament, we are reminded of the story we belong to and the hope we live by, and as we confess our sins, receive forgiveness, proclaim Christ, and encourage one another, we are strengthened for lives of service, witness, and love in the world.

Worship does not end when we leave the building; it equips us to live as worshipers every day.

These studies explore key elements of Christian worship and discuss not only what we do when we gather, but why.

A Call to Worship Bible Study

The study  is formatted such that each individual study can be printed off on 2 double-sided sheets of A4 for distribution to a group, or distributed by email. If you're using it with more than one group, it would be appreciated if you could consider purchasing one study per group!

The five studies have all you need for a small group discussion, with useful images, plenty of commentary, discussion questions and prayers.

1) A Call to Worship

2) Scripture & Proclamation
