The Celtic Connection
Early Christian prayers show how connected the Celtic church was to the God who created this world. It's good to remind ourselves of the rich Christian heritage of prayer and worship that we are now stewards of.
On the site is a collection of Celtic inspired prayers and liturgy written for private and public use, together with a selection of prayers from other sources, worship resources, Bible Studies and books of prayers.
This is very much a work in progress, and new prayers and resources are continually being added, so do drop by now and again and check out what is new!
Now available is 'The Worship Leader's Little Helper' which provides ready-to-use prayers for that opening slot of Adoration, thanksgiving and confession within a service. (More info)

Prayers in the Celtic Tradition
In the lonely places
The wilderness
Where we stand forlorn
Windswept and alone
Your voice calls out
Prepare a way for the Lord
In the dark places
The shadows
Where we hide our fears
Embrace our tears
Your voice calls out
Prepare a way for the Lord
Lord of the morning,
of dawn chorus,
rising sun,
mist on water,
day begun
Lord of the noontime,
of chattering voices,
laughter and fun,
sparkling water,
everyone
Lord of the evening,
of quiet breeze,
setting sun,
gentle waters,
day that’s done.
I arise today
embraced in the arms
of God the Father,
empowered by the strength
of God the Spirit,
immersed in the love
of God the Son.
I arise today
in the company
of the Trinity,
Father, Spirit and Son.
I arise today
